On July 26,2019 my family was devastated by a house fire in which we lost everything. Sadly, the community wasn’t to us what we vow to be to others that face similar circumstances and traumas. We lived in countless hotels and motels over a 3-month period. No one had clothing or shoes. There were only a few whom extended their hearts to us in giving critical needs. Reluctantly, My daughter and I gave an interview to a local news outlet, where the journalist did his best to bring awareness to our reality and rally the support of the masses. It was those tearful days that heightened my desire to help those that have to endure such heartbreaking pain. It was in my most trying moments that F.I.R.E was birthed.
